The file you receive

Each photograph's page states the size of the file you will receive. Most of the collection was first published at 1,440 pixels, which suits a screen and prints well only at small sizes, so the print licence is offered only for the photographs whose originals are large enough. The file carries the photographer's name and copyright notice and no location data.

Terms

  1. The licence is non-exclusive. We may license the same photograph to others and continue to sell it as a print.
  2. The licence covers the use, term, territory and number of copies stated in it, and nothing more. Copyright stays with the photographer.
  3. Show the credit Photo: Varna / Phototales Studio beside the photograph or in the credits. Online, link it to www.phototales.studio where the format allows.
  4. You may crop and resize the photograph. Any other change needs our agreement in writing.
  5. You may not resell, share or give away the file, sub-license it, use it in a logo or trade mark, or use it to train or test a machine-learning system.
  6. We hold no model or property releases. Photographs that show an identifiable person, or a protected emblem such as the national flag, are licensed for editorial and personal use only, and the photograph's page says so. For any other photograph that shows people or private property, you are responsible for any further permission your use needs.
  7. The licence takes effect when we receive payment, and it is the written licence we send with the file that governs, as the Copyright Act, 1957 requires a licence to be in writing.
